hightail it( high-tail it ) は、”急いで行く”ような意味のアメリカの口語表現。
日本語でもくだけて訳してみると ”すっとんで行く・逃げる”といったところでしょうか。
由来は、動物がしっぽを立てて一目散に逃げる様子から来ているそうで、特に、どこかから(out of ... )一目散に立ち去る場合などにぴったり。
hightail(high-tail, high tail)だけでも ”急いで逃げ去る”意味の動詞ですが、大抵は it とセットの形で使われています。

Let's hightail it out of here!
