swathe（スウェイズ）
動 （布などで）〜を巻く、包む　 大抵、受け身で。
名 包帯，巻き布
He was swathed in bandages from head to foot.

flummoxed（フラマクスト）
形 《口語》 面食らった，当惑した
動詞 flummox 【〜を面食らわせる、まごつかせる】がもとですが、大抵受け身なので。

elusive（イルーシブ）
形 捕えにくい（見つけにくい），捉えどころのない

collide（コライド）
動 ぶつかる，衝突する（with ... 〜と、に）

bravado（ブラバードゥ）
名 虚勢，つよがり，空威張り
人に自分が強く自信があると見せようとする振る舞い。

bonfire（ボンファイア）
名 （大きな）かがり火，たき火
祝祭での”かがり火”や、ゴミを集めた”たき火”など、野外で焚く火のこと。 Wikipedia によると、語源は”骨（bone）”の”火”で、家畜の骨を集めて燃やすケルトの習慣からだそうですが、ほかにも諸説あるようです。
We used to build a bonfire on the beach.

truce（トゥルース）
名 休戦（停戦），休戦協定； 休止
Why don't we call a truce for now?
「とりあえず一時休戦ということにしない？」
